What goes on at the Festival of Sensuality?

The Festival of Sensuality is a beginner-friendly event held in a yurt camp just south of Prague in the Czech Republic.

It’s a small festival with just 60 places for participants to join our team of 30 teachers, volunteers and musicians. We keep numbers down purposefully so that we can maintain an intimate atmosphere where it’s easy to make friends and get to know each other over the week 🙂

It’s also a participatory festival which means that, while most of the program is filled with the workshops from the wonderful teachers we invite, you’re also invited at the end of the week to make a workshop and you can always bring a song to the fire.

And In general we invite you to help create a warm and welcoming  community where we extend compassion to one another to create the atmosphere of support and kindness needed for everyone to open up. As we go through the week there will be laughter, there will be tears and we want to feel heard and seen by one another with open hearts 🙂

Okay, we get the point but what does the festival look like?

Every day you will go to the tea tent to consult the workshop board and choose which activities you want to go to. The workshops  will take place in the enormous yurts, in the field and the nearby forest.

Breakfast is self-service and then we have lunch and dinner together where we’ll announce the workshops of the day and any other info you need to know. The food is all vegan and there are gluten-free alternatives.

All the food and tea and coffee is included in the ticket price so once you’re at the Festival of Sensuality you won’t need to think about using money – everything is covered.

For accommodation, you have the choice to either camp (best if you like your privacy!) or there is limited space in the same-sex yurts where there are mattresses on the floor.

There are showers and compost toilets..

It’s a festival without alcohol or drugs as we want to have a conscious atmosphere where we get high on the music, the nature and each other 🙂

By day we will be making workshops on anything from massage to belly dance to the wheel of consent.

By night we’ll be dancing and singing around the fire, holding sharing circles and cuddle parties.

There will be a rough balance of men and women attending (55% of either at a maximum) and the festival is open to anyone from 18-108 and of any experience and background.

We encourage an atmosphere of inclusivity and people are welcome of every gender and sexuality.

It’s a sex-positive space which means we can discuss and explore aspects of our sexuality and desire without shame or judgement. It doesn’t mean that you have to get sexual or that you’ll see people getting sexual and that shouldn’t be a motivation to come 🙂

You don’t need any particular experience to come, just an open heart and a sense of curiosity 🙂
